Musician, ex-soldier, escaped convict, bounty head: all of these are simply facets of Gren's complex personality. A sax player by trade and a drug dealer by plan -- for the sole purpose of gaining understanding and maybe a little bit of revenge -- here's a man who's not like anyone else.

Framed as a spy during the war on Titan where he served in the same squadron as Vicious, Gren did his time in military prison on Pluto where everything changed for him in some very literal ways. He escaped and made his way to the lawless and all-male city of Blue Crow on Callisto, one of Jupiter's moons. There, Gren played saxophone at the Rester House in Blue Crow where he met the beautiful and mysterious Julia. More recently, he befriended (in his own way) alluring bounty hunter Faye Valentine before heading off for his final showdown with Vicious. During the fight, he sustained fatal injuries; it was Spike Spiegel who towed his ship out to space and sent him on his final journey. Back to Titan, one last time... but with an unexpected detour along the way.

If you don't already know his secrets, he's not likely to tell you. More than anything, what he wants is his saxophone by his side. What he'll do to keep it there is anyone's guess.
