Is it just me, or is it starting to feel more like spring? I don't know. I'm so used to a place where it snowed all the time that any warmth at all in the air seems like a small miracle.

So many curses. So many different ones. Suffice it to say I haven't been myself, but it's good to be back in my own skin.

[He's not leaving Lestat's side. He's not leaving for anything. It doesn't matter what, or who, or when or where: he's not leaving Lestat's side.

Not for a second.

Lestat hasn't responded at all. To anything. He's there, but he's not there. It's the scariest thing in the world, and there's no rhyme or reason to it. Over and over, he replays what happened but he can't piece things together. Why would anyone do this to his partner? How could anyone do this to him?

At least they're home. In the bedroom, where the sunlight can't get to Lestat, can't touch him come dawn, and when the time comes, he can lock out the rest of the world and wait this out alone.]

Hello Hello Hello is anyone there?

Usually when my mama tells me get a job she's joking.

Last night I think I had a job. I know I had a veryveryvery heavy saxtophone case to carry. I could pick it up but I couldn't carry it far 'cause I'm only little. So the man with the yellow hair, he carried it back for me and I had to run to keep up, and then I got tired and the man with the yellow hair carried me too. And then it was WAY late and I went to sleep in this room with a stuffed penguin and a stuffed dinosaur and then when I woke up there wasn't anyone here only cats and dogs and I was hungry.

I cried a little but no one heard.

Now I have popcorn and I'm watching a movie I don't know which one on TV and shh, don't tell, it was funny watching the man with yellow hair try and make popcorn.

Shh, I don't think he ever made it before. That's funny. I guess these are all his dogs and cats 'cause they're not mine. I don't know where this is.

Snow. It's starting to look like home. Time to walk the dogs while I can.

Cold slows the zombies down, so if there are any out in the daylight, at least that's something.

Abby, if you want to stretch your legs, now looks like a good time. I haven't seen anything too unusual out there all morning.

Horatio, Apolline, look but don't touch. That green stuff? The mistletoe? It'll make you sick if you eat it, and the berries too. Maybe if we stick to the streets instead of the sidewalks, there won't be so much of it.

On Callisto, November always ushered in the long sub-zero winter. It snowed all year, but the temperatures really dropped this time of year and stayed that way through about March. So people moved inside and tended to hibernate as much as possible for a long, long time. I hope winter's not quite as cold here. At least the endless freeze made people innovative about keeping warm.
